Environmental friendliness is a major concern for many households around the world. As part of this effort, geothermal heating systems are a great way to help homeowners to reduce their carbon footprint, and hence, help the planet. Geothermal heating and cooling systems have been described as using the same systems applicable to caves.

Underground caves tend to have more moderate temperatures than the weather conditions on the Earth's surface. This cave-like system operates in the home through the use of a pump that brings 55 degrees of ground water through a heat pump. With the geothermal heating system, this heat pump then takes out heat from the water and resends the cooler water down into the ground. Whereas, in summer the process is reversed.

New technology has made solar heating systems more and more efficient and effective as the years have passed. Solar heating systems have been significant in heating a whole house or even providing warmth in any building of a business. The greatest advantage of using solar heating systems for your home or your business is that it is a cost effective means to produce hot water.

It can be cheaper for you because the heating system is based on a fuel which is virtually free - that is, the rays of the sun. Not only that, solar heating systems can be used in any type of weather. It also saves you money because solar heating protects you from potential electricity and gas outages. Furthermore, you're protected from any future price increases in gas and electricity, because your heating system relies solely on solar heating.

New Waterless Super Heat Pipe Radiators

Solar central heating systems are upgrading their technology with the introduction of the world's first waterless super heat pipe radiators. In the past, solar hot water heating to support homes was quite limited. It was unable to efficiently transfer the solar heated water of sixty to seventy degrees Celsius from the thermal store to the steel panel radiator system.

However, a new and proven aluminium and copper super heat pipe radiator is now begin produced. The benefit of these radiators is that they will decrease the 100 or more litres of water in the current central heating system to only 15 litres. These innovative heat pipe radiators have been tested in the United Kingdom as an example, and it is hoped that they will be expanded to the United States as well.

Solar Heating Systems Find Ongoing Innovations

Solar Heating Systems Find Ongoing Innovations
© Stefan Thiesen
New technologies are consistently innovating the solar heating system even though the idea of solar heating has been in existence for quote some time now. Innovations include expanding the heat throughout the whole house.

A solar heating system involves placing solar roof panels or tiles on your home's roof. From these solar panels or tiles, there are then solar heating devices that transfer heat to the water of your home.

Energy from the sun is what heats the water. Solar heating contrasts electric solar or photovoltaic systems that use the sun's energy to create electricity for water heating. One type of solar heating system is the active solar heating, which use solar collectors to harness the energy of the sun and disperse it across the whole house.

The Utility of Solar Heating Systems

The Utility of Solar Heating Systems

In the world today, sun is the most cost effective and efficient way to harness huge energy. Solar heating systems collect energy and use the energy into residences' own water needs. Generally, solar water heating system has the capacity to heat water up to 140 degree F or higher than that matching the range of its traditional hot water tank counterpart. Effective system can collect up to around 70% of sun's energy and ultimately that transfer it to you. Direct system can absorb the sun's heat and directly heat household water supply. The system consists of collector pipes filled up with water which are directly connected with the storage tanks placed inside the home. As soon as the sun heats the water inside the pipes, the water comes out from the storage tank. As direct systems are always more efficient and effective than that of the indirect ones, they require proper maintenance to keep the pipes clear from mineral deposits.
